-Depuis quelque temps, l'une des priorités de la DARPA a été d'avoir une voiture volante - à décollage vertical - et qui peut se déplacer très facilement sur les routes, ainsi que dans le ciel. Aéronefs AVX a mis au point cette proposition, qui comprend un rotor double hélice et semble très compact.
La voiture volante à quatre places est conçu pour transporter 1000 livres de fret (environ 455 kilos) à une distance de 250 miles (400 kilomètres) avec un seul plein de carburant, et peut Voyage à une vitesse de 80 mph (130 km / h) dans l'air et 140 miles (225 km / h) au-dessus du sol. Le déploiement des pales de l'hélice pour le vol ne dure que 60 secondes.

The routes can be flexible, as Superbus can travel not just on high-speed tracks (250 km/hour), but also on normal roads.
